Posse da CONTEE no Observatório Brasil da Igualdade de Gênero
A CONTEE tomou posse, nesta quinta-feira, 20/05, no Conselho Consultivo do Observatório Brasil da Igualdade de Gênero, órgão ligado à Secretaria Especial de Políticas para as Mulheres da Presidência da República – SEPM/PR. O Observatório, em parceria com outras instituições públicas e com organismos internacionais e organizações da sociedade civil, pretende dar visibilidade e fortalecer as ações do Estado brasileiro para a promoção da igualdade de gênero e dos direitos das mulheres.
Seu conteúdo destina-se aos/às gestores/as públicos/as, aos representantes políticos, a autoridades de partidos políticos, aos sindicatos, aos movimentos e organizações da sociedade civil, e em particular aos movimentos e às organizações feministas e de mulheres, assim como aos centros de produção de conhecimento e às universidades.
A Secretária de Gênero e Etnia da CONTEE, Nara Teixeira de Souza, assumiu como Conselheira Efetiva e, Cristina Castro, Secretária Geral da entidade, como Suplente. Segundo Nara, é de grande importância a participação da CONTEE neste Conselho. A dirigente espera poder contribuir no monitoramento do foco temático de 2010-2011: Autonomia econômica e igualdade no mundo do trabalho.
O Observatório surgiu como estratégia de disseminação de informações acerca das desigualdades de gênero e dos direitos das mulheres com vistas a subsidiar o processo de formulação e implementação de políticas de gênero e de políticas públicas com perspectiva de gênero no país. Desenvolve monitoramento em torno de cinco grandes eixos: Indicadores, Políticas Públicas, Legislação e Legislativo; Comunicação e Mídia; e Internacional.
