Ministro defende uso do Enem para acesso aos institutos
Em reunião com os 38 reitores dos institutos federais de educação, ciência e tecnologia, o ministro Fernando Haddad defendeu a extinção do vestibular tradicional para os cursos superiores dessas instituições. Os reitores estiveram em Brasília nesta quarta-feira, 29, para analisar e discutir a proposta.
A intenção é utilizar o novo Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (Enem). “Podemos utilizar o Enem como fase única para os cursos de menor procura e como primeira fase para os cursos de maior demanda”, propôs Haddad. Os dirigentes devem apresentar suas respostas até o final de maio.
Ao todo, 215 mil estudantes estão na Rede Federal de Educação Profissional, Científica e Tecnológica. A intenção é que até o final de 2010 o total de alunos seja de 500 mil.
Nos próximos dias 6, 7 e 8 de maio, a extinção do vestibular para os cursos superiores dos institutos federais volta a ser discutida em Palmas, durante a reunião ordinária do Conselho Nacional das Instituições da Rede Federal de Educação Profissional e Tecnológica (Conif). Dirigentes de todos os 38 institutos federais, dos centros federais de educação profissional e tecnológica e do colégio Dom Pedro II participam do encontro.
Ensino Médio – Os reitores dos institutos sugeriram ao MEC a extinção do processo seletivo também para os cursos de ensino médio da Rede Federal. Os colégios de aplicação das universidades, colégios militares e os próprios institutos federais fazem processos seletivos semelhantes a vestibulares. “Devemos democratizar o acesso em todas as etapas da educação”, defendeu Paulo César Ferreira, reitor do Instituto Federal de Goiás.
Um dos caminhos sugeridos para solucionar a questão é a utilização das notas da Prova Brasil, feita com concluintes do nono ano do ensino fundamental. Haddad disse que a proposta é interessante, mas deve ser analisada posteriormente.
