Ministro prevê mudanças para breve no ensino fundamental
O ministro da Educação, Fernando Haddad, disse na manhã desta quarta-feira, dia 17, no Rio, que muito em breve o ensino fundamental estará universalizado dos quatro aos 17 anos. “Falta apenas uma votação na Câmara dos Deputados, o que deve ocorrer nos próximos dias. Com o fim da DRU, em pouco tempo poderemos implementar essa política”, disse o ministro, em alusão à proposta de emenda à Constituição que acaba com a desvinculação de receitas da União para a educação.
Haddad participou, no Rio, da abertura do Fórum Global para a Educação Infantil, do Banco Mundial. O ministro afirmou ainda que uma nova política para crianças até três anos deve envolver pelo menos três ministérios — Educação, Saúde e Desenvolvimento Social. “Só assim, com uma ação integrada que envolva inclusive a mãe, será possível receber a criança na pré-escola, aos quatro anos, e na escola, aos seis, pronta para uma visão diferenciada.”
O ministro lembrou que o objetivo primário do Plano de Desenvolvimento da Educação (PDE) é assegurar a alfabetização das crianças até os oito anos. “Para tanto, a educação infantil e a creche são fundamentais”, disse.
