Valorização é caminho para atrair jovens à carreira de professor
Levantamento revela que no Brasil 22% dos professores têm menos de 30 anos. Esse percentual poderia ser bem maior se a nossa carreira fosse mais valorizada, com salários justos. Em muitas escolas enfrentamos mais de 30 alunos em sala de aula em condições de trabalho inadequadas, com falta de carteiras, computadores, laboratórios e até bibliotecas. A necessidade de formação é outro ponto importante a destacar. Mas como atrair mais jovens para o magistério e preparar bons profissionais se a carreira paga mal e a evasão é alta?
Vários educadores ingressam na carreira ainda jovens e, ao longo dos anos, sem ver perspectivas de um futuro melhor ou por doenças inerentes à profissão desistem de dar aulas e vão procurar outras carreiras que ofereçam melhores salários e condições de trabalho. Em 2008, após anos de luta, o Piso Salarial Nacional foi sancionado para entrar em vigor a partir de janeiro deste ano. Infelizmente, diante da intransigência de cinco governadores, ainda hoje muitos estados e municípios não cumprem a lei e o piso não é pago corretamente. Confiamos em uma decisão da Justiça para que distorções sejam corrigidas.
O Plano Nacional de Formação do Professores da Educação Básica, lançado em maio pelo governo, também deve abrir caminho para a valorização da carreira. Esperamos que esses incentivos possam atrair mais pessoas ao magistério. Afinal, ainda existem muitos jovens que acreditam como nós, que a educação é o melhor caminho para o desenvolvimento do país.
