MEC notifica 35 universidades particulares
O Ministério da Educação notificou nesta segunda-feira (27/08) 35 instituições privadas de ensino superior que, segundo a pasta, não cumprem os percentuais mínimos de professores com dedicação integral ou com títulos de mestre e doutor estabelecidos pela legislação. Ao todo, elas oferecem quase 10% das vagas em cursos universitários no Brasil.
Elas terão 90 dias para resolver o problema. Caso continuem irregulares, estão sujeitas a processos administrativos que poderão culminar com o descredenciamento de cursos.
A medida atinge 11 centros universitários e 24 das 87 universidades privadas do país, como a PUC-MG e duas das maiores em número de alunos, a Universidade Presidente Antônio Carlos (MG) e a Universidade Salgado de Oliveira (RJ).
Sete das 35 instituições notificadas não poderão abrir novas vagas até comprovarem a regularidade da situação, já que a situação delas foi considerada mais grave.
A lei estabelece que as instituições de ensino superior devem ter um terço do corpo docente com dedicação integral. Para professores com título de mestre e doutor, centros universitários têm que respeitar a proporção de 20%, e universidades, de um terço. A diferença é que universidades têm mais autonomia para abrir vagas.
A Folha tentou contatar, na tarde de ontem, a Anup (Associação Nacional das Universidades Particulares), mas ninguém atendeu os telefones disponíveis no site da entidade.
