Orçamento da Educação para 2010 deve ter crescimento de quase 30%, diz Haddad
O ministro da Educação, Fernando Haddad, disse nesta segunda (10) que o orçamento da pasta para 2010 será em torno de R$ 53 bilhões. Esse total superaria em quase 30% os recursos do ministério neste ano, que foram de R$ 40,5 bilhões.
“É uma estimativa ainda, mas com o salário-educação, nosso orçamento com quase toda certeza deve superar R$ 50 bilhões”, afirmou durante inauguração do novo prédio do Instituto de Ciências Biológicas da Universidade de Brasília (UnB).
O salário-educação é uma contribuição social destinada ao financiamento de ações e programas voltados para a educação básica pública. São contribuintes do salário-educação as empresas em geral e as entidades públicas e privadas vinculadas ao Regime Geral da Previdência Social. Ela é calculada com base na alíquota de 2,5% sobre o valor total das remunerações pagas ou creditadas aos segurados empregados.
Durante a cerimônia, Haddad disse que os R$ 2,5 bilhões previstos para os quatro anos de implementação do Programa de Reestruturação e Expansão das Universidades Federais (Reuni) já foram investidos nos dois primeiros anos do projeto. “Isso significa que o meu sucessor terá que buscar mais alguns bilhões para atender os reitores das universidades federais”, disse.
