Justiça proíbe curso da Anhangüera
O modelo de ensino à distância aplicado pela Anhangüera Educacional S/A em cinco cidades da RMC (Região Metropolitana de Campinas) é o mesmo que foi suspenso pela 15ª Vara da Justiça Federal de São Paulo, por meio de uma liminar, por supostas irregularidades nos cursos e prática de propagandas enganosas. A sentença foi publicada sexta-feira, contudo, só vale para o município de Pindamonhangaba, localizada na região do Vale do Paraíba.
A decisão do Judiciário está baseada numa ação cívil pública proposta contra a instituição pelo MPF (Ministério Público Federal) que questionou a natureza dos cursos à distância que estariam sem autorização d o MEC (Ministério da Educação). Por esse motivo, o juiz mandou suspender temporariamente os cursos de Administração e Serviço Social, enquanto o mérito do processo não fosse julgado.
Em nota, a Anhangüera nega irregularidades e esclarece que os cursos suspensos estão sendo oferecidos em todos os pólos da região e que todos são aprovados pel o MEC (Ministério da Educação). Campinas tem o maior número de unidades, no total são quatro. A Anhangüera não revela quantos alunos tem matriculados em cada cidade. Em todo o Brasil são 250 mil estudantes.
Em reportagem veiculada anteontem no jornal o O Estado de São Paulo, o advogado especializada em Direto Educacional, Dave Prada, disse ter recebido denúncias de vários estudantes sobre casos de propaganda enganosa. "Eles criaram uma modalidade de ensino que não existe. Estão oferecendo cursos presenciais quando, na verdade, se trata de ensino a distância. Isso ocorre em cerca de dez cidades", disse em entrevista ao jornal da Capital. A reportagem tentou localizá-lo, mas não conseguiu.
A Anhangüera Educacional oferece cursos por meio da Universidade Anhangüera-Uniderp. A Uniderp (Universidade para o Desenvolvimento do Estado e da Região do Pantanal) foi adquirida pela Anhanguera há um ano e meio, a partir daí, a instituição passou a oferecer ensino à distância. "A legalidade na oferta dos cursos citados é inquestionável, tanto que, hoje, estes contam com um total de cinco alunos beneficiados com bolsas parciais ou integrais do Prouni, programa instituído e coordenado pelo governo federal", cita a nota. o MEC informa que a Anhangüera-Uniderp foi investigada há três meses e nenhuma ilegalidade foi identificada.
