FNDE publica normas para apoio financeiro a instituições de ensino
O Fundo Nacional de Desenvolvimento da Educação (FNDE) publicou normas para apoiar financeiramente as instituições de ensino participantes do Sistema Universidade Aberta do Brasil (UAB). A portaria está no Diário Oficial da União de hoje (11).
De acordo com o Ministério da Educação (MEC), a proposta da Universidade Aberta não é criar mais uma instituição de ensino, mas providenciar a articulação das que já existem para levar ensino superior público de qualidade aos municípios que não dispõem de cursos de formação superior ou cujos cursos não sejam suficientes para atender a demanda. Para isso, o sistema busca parcerias entre as esferas federais, estaduais e municipais.
Para ofertar cursos a distância, de acordo com o MEC, o município precisa montar um pólo com biblioteca e laboratórios de informática, biologia, química e física. Essa infraestrutura deve contar com o apoio de tutores e ficar à disposição dos alunos, mas a elaboração dos cursos é de responsabilidade das instituições públicas de ensino superior.
