UNE propõe que 50% dos recursos do Fundo Social do Pré-Sal sejam destinados à educação
O presidente da União Nacional dos Estudantes (UNE), Augusto Chagas, reivindicou nesta segunda (18), em reunião com o presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, que o governo se empenhe mais nas discussões em torno da criação do Fundo Social do Pré-sal para que parte dos recursos do novo fundo sejam investidos em educação e em projetos que aumentem o tempo de permanência dos brasileiros na escola.
Chagas afirmou que, apesar das políticas educacionais nos últimos anos terem apresentado melhorias na qualidade do ensino do país, é preciso ampliar os investimentos no setor. Segundo ele, a média de permanência do brasileiro adulto na escola é de sete anos e que não chega a 30% o percentual de escolas públicas que têm uma quadra de esportes.
“O salário dos nossos professores ainda é muito defasado e o Brasil tem apenas 13,9% de jovens, de 18 a 24 anos, com acesso à universidade. Isso tudo demonstra a necessidade de se aplicar melhor os recursos em educação, principalmente, em aumentar o aporte de de recursos em educação. Portanto, na nossa avaliação, essa questão do fundo será muito importante", disse o presidente da UNE.
