A secretária de ensino superior do Ministério da Educação, Maria Paula Dallari, disse hoje (5) que apenas 233 vagas do total de 47.913 disponibilizadas não foram preenchidas no Sistema de Seleção Unificada (Sisu). O sistema foi usado pelas universidades que usaram o Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (Enem) como forma de seleção.

As vagas que sobraram são referentes as ações afirmativas, ou seja, o sistema de cotas adotado por cada instituição de ensino independentemente. De acordo com a secretária, durante as inscrições houve um problema no sistema que fez com que no primeiro dia fossem feitas apenas 5% das inscrições, mas que no segundo dia foi solucionado, gerando um saldo positivo.

A média de inscritos foi de 158 mil por dia. A maior procura ocorreu no terceiro dia com 22% das inscrições.

Segundo Maria Dallari o grande mérito deste sistema é que os alunos podem se inscrever em outros lugares e não precisam esperar mais um ano para entrar na universidade. “Os alunos com a nota mais alta foram ficando, e os demais perceberam que poderiam ter outras escolhas. Havia outras vagas que talvez a nota deles fosse suficiente. O alunos ganharam o Brasil”, destacou.

Os dados sobre a distribuição dos alunos nas universidades do país ainda  não foram sistematizadas pelo MEC. Entre 15 e 20 de fevereiro ocorrem as inscrições para as vagas remanescentes.
