O secretário de Educação à Distância do Ministério da Educação (MEC), Carlos Bielshowsky, disse que até o final deste ano 92% das escolas brasileiras terão acesso à internet. Ele apresentou as ações do governo brasileiro para promover o acesso à inclusão digital e a capacitação de professores na área de tecnologia durante a Conferência Internacional – O Impacto das Tecnologias da Informação e da Comunicação na Educação.

“Fizemos um acordo com as operadoras de banda larga e até o final do ano 92% das escolas brasileiras terão acesso à internet, isto significa a inclusão digital de cerca de 35 milhões estudantes”, afirma Bielshowsky.

Segundo o secretário, o trabalho desenvolvido pelo MEC busca a “alfabetização digital” de professores e alunos, além de estimular a autonomia dos estudantes na formação do conhecimento através dos laboratórios de informática e de promover novas estratégias pedagógicas com o uso de conteúdos digitais na sala de aula.

“Queremos tornar a sala de aula menos aborrecida, mais atraente. Até o momento, implantamos laboratórios em 42.688 instituições, mas é idiotice fazer isso sem capacitar o professor e é isto que estamos fazendo. Em 2009 capacitamos 332.184 professores e faremos mais este ano”, destaca.
