Portaria publicada no Diário Oficial da União desta segunda-feira, 24, institui o Exame Nacional de Ingresso na Carreira Docente. O exame, que será realizado pelo Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais (Inep), avaliará conhecimentos, competências e habilidades de profissionais que tenham concluído ou estejam concluindo cursos de formação inicial para a docência e que desejam ingressar na carreira do magistério. A primeira edição do exame, que é anual, se realizará em 2011.

O exame deverá subsidiar a contratação de docentes para a educação básica pelos governos estaduais e municipais. As secretarias de educação interessadas definirão a forma de utilização dos resultados do exame para fins de contratação de docentes.

A participação no exame é de caráter voluntário, mediante inscrição, e conferirá ao candidato um boletim de resultados, cujos dados somente poderão ser utilizados mediante autorização expressa do candidato.

O exame oferecerá, ainda, diagnóstico dos conhecimentos, competências e habilidades dos futuros professores para subsidiar as políticas públicas de formação continuada, e também para construir um indicador qualitativo que possa ser incorporado à avaliação de políticas públicas de formação inicial de docentes.
