Corte de R$ 1,2 bi não compromete orçamento da Educação, garante ministro
O ministro da Educação, Fernando Haddad, disse que o corte de R$ 1,2 bilhões no orçamento da pasta não afeta a previsão inicial de R$ 59 bilhões para 2010. Segundo ele, depois da sanção da lei orçamentária houve duas entradas de novos recursos que superam o que foi contingenciado pelo decreto publicado na segunda (31) no Diário Oficial da União.
A primeira, de aproximadamente R$ 800 milhões, recompôs as perdas do Fundo de Desenvolvimento da Educação Básica (Fundeb) em 2009 para os estados das regiões Norte e Nordeste. A outra é um projeto de lei que já está em tramitação e prevê R$ 1,2 bilhão para recompor os valores da merenda e do transporte escolares, cujo aumento foi dado no final de 2009 depois que orçamento já tinha sido encaminhado para o Congresso Nacional.
“O que foi contingenciado pelo decreto está dentro da nossa programação. Mas se houver uma melhoria na arrecadação, esses valores podem ser reconsiderados ao longo do ano”, disse Haddad. Segundo ele, o orçamento do ministério para o ano, depois dos corte e dos novos recursos, deve se manter entre R$ 59 e R$ 60 bilhões, “podendo chegar a R$ 61 bilhões”.
