Estimular a cooperação internacional na Rede Federal de Educação Profissional, Científica e Tecnológica foi o principal objetivo do curso oferecido a representantes de assessorias internacionais esta semana, em Brasília. Os debates, promovidos pela Secretaria de Educação Profissional e Tecnológica (Setec) do Ministério da Educação, abordaram temas como informações sobre contatos com organismos internacionais, estratégias de cooperação que envolvam o governo federal e possibilidades de intercâmbio com instituições estrangeiras.

Assessor internacional do instituto federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Marcelo Henrique Carneiro acredita que aproximadamente cem pessoas, entre alunos e professores, são beneficiadas diretamente por estratégias de cooperação desenvolvidas no instituto. “Levamos professores para ensinar português, trazemos outros para lecionar inglês e também temos estudantes com bolsas de estudo integrais em vários países”, disse. “Quando um professor de língua estrangeira capacita nossos docentes, por exemplo, todos os alunos são beneficiados.”

A Setec pretende mapear as iniciativas de cooperação internacional desenvolvidas na rede. “Queremos saber, por exemplo, quantos estudantes de institutos federais estão em intercâmbio fora do país”, explicou Rodrigo Torres, assessor internacional da secretaria. O levantamento deve estar pronto até o fim do ano.
