Federal Fluminense oferece curso com temática étnico-racial
Professores da rede pública da educação básica do município de Angra dos Reis, no Rio de Janeiro, têm a oportunidade de concorrer a 50 vagas para o curso de especialização sobre relações étnico-raciais, história da África e cultura afro-brasileira. A pós-graduação, presencial e gratuita, será oferecida pela Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), entre agosto deste ano e dezembro de 2011.
De acordo com Iolanda de Oliveira, da Faculdade de Educação da UFF e coordenadora do curso, as inscrições serão abertas na próxima semana exclusivamente no campus de Angra dos Reis. A seleção será realizada no final de julho com prova escrita, entrevista e análise de currículo. As aulas começam em agosto.
Os professores da educação básica selecionados pela UFF terão aulas nas sextas-feiras, das 18h às 22h, e aos sábados, das 8h às 14h, no período de agosto de 2010 a julho de 2011. De agosto a dezembro de 2011, eles farão a monografia, que consta de um projeto desenvolvido pelo educador com uma turma da escola onde trabalha. Essa atividade será acompanhada por professores da Faculdade de Educação. O curso e a monografia somam 375 horas. Os concluintes receberão certificados da universidade.
A formação de professores atende aos requisitos da Lei nº 10.639/2003, que incluiu a temática étnico-racial no currículo da educação básica. Cursos de aperfeiçoamento, especialização e extensão são ministrados por instituições públicas de ensino superior, desde 2008, com recursos do orçamento do Ministério da Educação. Para o curso que a UFF abre em agosto, o MEC repassou R$ 150 mil.
