Termina quarta-feira (30) o prazo para que secretarias municipais e estaduais de Educação enviem ao Fundo de Desenvolvimento da Educação (FNDE) o termo de adesão ao Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (PNLD). Quem não formalizar o pedido, não receberá as obras em 2011.

Segundo o fundo, o objetivo da mudança é evitar o desperdício. Até o ano passado, todas as escolas da rede pública recebiam o material, que era comprado pelo FNDE, uma autarquia do Ministério da Educação. Mas, em alguns casos, as redes de ensino podem optar por adquirir os livros didáticos de sua preferência e não utilizar o material enviado pelo governo federal.

Para 2011, o PNLD vai atender a estudantes do 6° ao 9° ano do ensino fundamental com obras de português, matemática, história, geografia, ciências e língua estrangeira (inglês ou espanhol). As informações sobre as novas regras do programa e a lista dos municípios que já formalizaram a adesão estão disponíveis no site do FNDE.
