Liberados R$ 156,3 milhões a escolas de educação básica
Recursos de R$ 156,3 milhões estão à disposição de caixas escolares, conselhos escolares ou similares das unidades de ensino públicas cadastradas no Programa Dinheiro Direto na Escola (PDDE). As instituições de ensino contempladas oferecem, em sua maioria, ensino infantil ou integral.
Este ano, o Fundo Nacional de Desenvolvimento da Educação (FNDE), responsável pelo PDDE, dispõe de R$ 1,4 bilhão para investimento nas escolas. Criado em 1995, o programa teve a área de atuação ampliada ao longo dos últimos 15 anos. Até 2008, contemplava escolas públicas de ensino fundamental. Com a Lei nº 11.947, de 16 de junho de 2009, passou a atender toda a educação básica.
Hoje, além de liberar recursos para manutenção da infraestrutura das escolas públicas, o programa promove a acessibilidade para estudantes com deficiência ou mobilidade reduzida; financia a educação integral, o funcionamento das escolas nos fins de semana, com a oferta de atividades educativas e recreativas; e a reforma e a construção de coberturas de quadras esportivas em escolas participantes do programa Mais Educação.
Para participar e receber recursos do PDDE e atualizar dados cadastrais, é necessário que escolas públicas, municípios, estados e Distrito Federal façam a adesão no sistema de habilitação PDDEweb. O prazo para a primeira opção vai até 29 de outubro.
