Bienal Internacional do Livro em São Paulo terá lançamento de 4,2 mil publicações
A 21ª Bienal Internacional de São Paulo será aberta na próxima segunda-feira, no Pavilhão de Exposições do Anhembi, na zona norte da cidade, com a participação de 350 expositores entre os quais estão editoras que representam 900 selos editoriais. Eles devem apresentar, no período de 12 a 22 de agosto, 2,2 milhões de exemplares e 220 mil títulos diferentes.
Os organizadores esperam receber um público superior a 700 mil pessoas que poderão acompanhar os lançamentos de 4,2 mil publicações. Para isso, o número de horas de atividades aumentou em comparação com a edição anterior, passando de 700 para 1.100 horas.
O anúncio foi feito na segunda (02) pela presidente da Câmara Brasileira do Livro (CBL), Rosely Boschini. A feira é um dos maiores eventos intelectuais da América Latina. É realizada pela CBL e organizada pela Reed Exhibitions Alcantara Machado. Por meio de um comunicado, a CBL disse esperar que haja um diferencial nessa edição em relação às demais, com a adoção de medidas para democratizar o acesso ao livro.
Os preços dos ingressos foram fixados em R$ 10,00 valor cobrado desde a edição de 2006. Além disso, haverá entrada gratuita para professores, estudantes, profissionais do livro e bibliotecários, pessoas maiores de 60 anos e crianças com até 12 anos.
