MPF recomenda a Unar que suspenda a oferta de cursos irregulares
No último dia 16 de agosto, o Ministério Público Federal (MPF) publicou uma resolução para que o Centro Universitário de Araras (Unar) suspenda a oferta de dois cursos irregulares – o de Complementação Pedagógica e de Segunda Graduação. A instituição também deve deixar de divulgar esses cursos enquanto durar a suspensão. A Unar tem 20 dias para cumprir a recomendação do MPF.
A recomendação foi expedida pelo Procurador da República Sergio Gardenghi Suiama e é um desdobramento de um processo administrativo, em curso na Secretaria de Educação Superior do Ministério da Educação (Sesu-MEC), que apurou entre outras irregularidades, a emissão de diplomas com habilitações não condizentes com as que foram reconhecidas oficialmente no curso de Pedagogia.
A comissão também verificou que, no Programa Especial para Aproveitamento de Estudos ou Adequação Curricular para Portadores de Diploma de Nível Superior, os alunos concluem o curso em apenas três semestres, independentemente de qualquer análise curricular, comparecendo às aulas somente aos fins de semana, o que está em desacordo com a legislação.
A instituição deve apresentar comprometimento com a recomendação em até 20 dias. Caso isso não aconteça, o MPF poderá entrar com ação contra a universidade. A recomendação propriamente deve ser cumprida até a conclusão do processo administrativo, sob pena de ter os cursos irregulares desativados.
