Dobra oferta de escolas privadas de ensino fundamental no Estado
Em um ano, a oferta de escolas de ensino fundamental na rede privada de São Paulo dobrou, segundo dados do Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais (Inep) e da Secretaria Estadual da Educação. O principal motivo, segundo especialistas, é a lei que obriga a matrícula de crianças com seis anos no ensino fundamental - e levou colégios infantis a ampliarem a área de atuação.
Em 2009, havia 3.943 colégios particulares de ensino fundamental no Estado de São Paulo. Até julho deste ano, foram criados outros 3.166. No total, já são 7.109 escolas aptas nesta modalidade de ensino.
“Na época em que a lei foi aprovada pensava-se que a perda de alunos das escolas infantis seria maior”, afirma o presidente do Sindicato dos Estabelecimentos de Ensino no Estado de São Paulo (Sieesp), Augusto de Mattos Lourenço. “Por esse motivo, a nossa orientação foi que quem tivesse condições financeiras e área física partisse para a abertura do fundamental também.” Para quem não tinha condições, a sugestão do sindicato foi investir em berçários.
A permissão obtida vale para os nove anos do fundamental - até a antiga 8ª série. Mas, segundo a secretaria, os colégios podem escolher até que série pretendem implantar. Alguns já iniciaram este ano letivo na nova versão. Outras vão abrir as salas do fundamental no ano que vem.
O Eduque Nova Escola, na zona sul, é um dos colégios que neste ano passou a oferecer a novidade. A escola construiu um novo prédio para abrigar alunos maiores. Caso não tivesse tomado essa decisão, a diretora pedagógica, Virgínia Fioravanti, calcula que teria perdido cerca de 110 alunos. “É normal os pais terem certo receio pois não conhecem ainda o trabalho das escolas infantis no ciclo fundamental. Esse outro vínculo de confiança será adquirido aos poucos.”
Continuidade deve ser bem planejada
Para a pedagoga Maria Irene Maluf, a continuação da criança na mesma escola tem um ponto positivo e outro negativo. A vantagem é que ele continuará na mesma linha de alfabetização. E a maior preocupação é que essas escolas tendem a manter os mesmos professores do infantil
