Portaria interministerial institui o PET-Saúde Mental
Portaria publicada ontem (30) no Diário Oficial da União instituiu no âmbito dos ministérios da Saúde e da Educação, como parte do Programa de Educação pelo Trabalho para a Saúde (PET-Saúde), o PET-Saúde Mental.
O objetivo do programa é formar profissionais e docentes de elevada qualificação técnica, científica, tecnológica e acadêmica na área da saúde mental, com abordagem a álcool e outras drogas. O PET-Saúde é um instrumento para qualificar profissionais de saúde em serviço e incentivar os estudantes na iniciação do trabalho a partir das necessidades do SUS.
A portaria é parte de um conjunto de leis criadas para redirecionar o modelo assistencial de saúde mental, de modo a garantir proteção aos direitos de pessoas portadoras de transtornos mentais. A portaria reforça a necessidade da integração ensino-serviço e da capacitação pedagógica, no sentido de criar estímulo para que os profissionais que desempenham atividades na área da atenção em saúde mental, álcool e outras drogas possam orientar os estudantes de graduação, tendo o serviço público de saúde como cenário dessa prática.
Poderão participar do PET-Saúde Mental as instituições de educação superior públicas e privadas que desenvolvam atividade curricular em serviços com a sociedade. A execução técnico-administrativa do programa vai ficar a cargo da Secretaria de Gestão do Trabalho e da Educação na Saúde e da Secretaria de Atenção à Saúde, do Ministério da Saúde.
