SETEC oferece solidariedade aos desabrigados
As escolas técnicas federais e suas unidades recebem, a partir desta quinta-feira, 27, doações para os desabrigados pela chuva em Santa Catarina. A Secretaria de Educação Profissional e Tecnológica (Setec) do Ministério da Educação promove campanha nacional de solidariedade. Os interessados em oferecer água potável, agasalhos, cobertores e alimentos não perecíveis às vítimas devem procurar as escolas técnicas (arquivos/exe/redee.xls) do seu município. A rede federal conta com escolas em todo o país.
De acordo com dados da Defesa Civil de Santa Catarina, cerca de 93 mil moradores de oito cidades estão isolados. Já são oito os municípios catarinenses que decretaram estado de calamidade pública por causa das chuvas. As cidades de Gaspar, Rio dos Cedros, Nova Trento, Camboriú, Benedito Novo, Pomerode, Blumenau e Luiz Alves são as mais atingidas.
Ainda segundo a Defesa Civil, 54.039 pessoas tiveram de sair de suas casas, sendo que 22.952 estão desabrigadas – devem ficar em abrigos do poder público – e 31.087 desalojadas, ou seja, estão na casa de familiares ou amigos.
