Haddad diz que investimentos em educação incluem todas as etapas do ensino
O ministro da Educação, Fernando Haddad, afirmou nesta segunda (9) que os investimentos em educação durante o governo Lula são feitos da creche à pós-graduação, sem excluir nenhuma etapa. Ao participar do programa Café com o Presidente, junto com o presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, ele destacou a expansão de iniciativas como o Programa Nacional de Reestruturação e Aquisição de Equipamentos da Rede Escolar Pública de Educação Infantil (Pró-Infância) e o Fundo de Manutenção e Desenvolvimento da Educação Básica e de Valorização dos Profissionais da Educação (Fundeb).
Ao tratar do ensino superior brasileiro, Haddad lembrou que as vagas em 2009 dobraram quando comparadas aos números de 2003 – eram 112 mil contra 227 mil atualmente. O número de instituições de universidades federais, segundo ele, passou de 42 para 55 durante o mesmo período.
“O jovem de baixa renda que não conseguia uma vaga numa universidade pública tinha dificuldade de pagar, evidentemente, a mensalidade em uma escola particular”, disse, ao destacar as mais de 150 mil bolsas oferecidas pelo governo federal anualmente, sendo 70% delas, integrais. Para Haddad, as iniciativas evidenciam uma visão “sistêmica” da educação brasileira.
O presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, durante o programa, avaliou como “importante” a valorização de pessoas que queiram estudar mas que não têm condições para isso. Ele afirmou ainda que, durante seu governo, “é proibido falar em gasto" quando se discute educação.
