Sociedade está mais consciente do papel do professor, acreditam especialistas
Pesquisa divulgada nesta segunda (16/03) mostra que a desvalorização do professor é o principal problema do ensino público no país na opinião da população. Para a secretária da Confederação Nacional dos Trabalhadores em Educação (CNTE), Juçara Vieira, o intenso debate sobre a lei que estabeleceu o piso nacional de R$ 950 para o magistério, no ano passado, trouxe o professor para o foco do processo educacional.
“A sociedade está percebendo que, embora muitos fatores interajam na educação, a figura do professor continua sendo central porque ele é o organizador das atividades educativas e o catalizador da energia intelectual do aluno para que ele consiga aprender. Ela [sociedade] percebe que um trabalho que tem esse alcance social deveria ter uma remuneração adequada”, avalia Juçara.
Apesar de ter sido aprovada pelo Congresso Nacional, a lei que estabelece o piso nacional para a categoria está sendo questionada por governadores no Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF). Na avaliação de Mozart Neves, presidente do Movimento Todos pela Educação, entidade responsável pela pesquisa, R$ 950 não é “nada extraordinário”.
“O salário inicial de alguns profissionais, como advogados e engenheiros, são valores bem mais importantes do que o que um professor ganha hoje na rede pública. Os países que estão no topo da educação mundial dão um salário inicial extremamente atraente para trazer os melhores alunos para a profissão”, aponta.
Mozart acredita que, além de salários mais altos para atrair jovens talentos para o magistério, a equação se completa com uma formação adequada aos professores. “O grande desafio passa por um esforço do ensino superior para uma formação dos nossos professores que seja adequada à realidade”, avalia.
