Lançamento da Conferência Nacional de Educação será em 24 de abril
O Ministério da Educação marcou para 24 de abril o lançamento oficial da Conferência Nacional de Educação (Conae). O evento terá a presença do ministro Fernando Haddad e a participação do professor e pesquisador Demerval Saviani, da Unicamp, e do deputado Carlos Abicalil, da Comissão de Educação da Câmara dos Deputados.
De acordo com o secretário executivo adjunto do Ministério da Educação e coordenador da comissão organizadora da Conae, Francisco das Chagas, o lançamento da conferência é uma estratégia de mobilização da sociedade, que é chamada a discutir as temáticas da educação em todos os níveis e modalidades. O calendário de debates prevê duas instâncias de discussões e eleição de delegados.
Até junho de 2009, ocorrem as conferências preparatórias municipais ou intermunicipais, e até novembro, as 26 conferências estaduais e a do Distrito Federal. A Conae será realizada em Brasília, em abril de 2010. Em todas as etapas, o fio condutor dos debates é o tema Construindo o Sistema Nacional Articulado de Educação: o Plano Nacional de Educação, diretrizes e estratégias de ação. Um documento de referência, que organiza os debates em seis áreas, está disponível para uso nas conferências preparatórias.
Também em 24 de abril, informa o coordenador da Conae, a TV Escola realiza um programa do Salto para o Futuro com o tema da Conae. Participam desse debate os professores Jamil Cury, estudioso da educação, Demerval Saviani e o deputado Carlos Abicalil. No período de 20 a 24 de abril, a Confederação Nacional dos Trabalhadores em Educação (CNTE) realiza a 10ª Semana Nacional em Defesa da Educação Pública. A semana vai mobilizar as escolas para discutir os temas da Conae.
