Nos dias 27, 28 e 29 de março de 2009, a Feteerj realizará o seu 9º Congresso Ordinário – Lélia Gonzalez, na cidade de Nova Friburgo/RJ. O encontro terá como tema central o fortalecimento das entidades filiadas e da Feteerj. O presidente nacional da CUT, Arthur Henrique participa da do debate de abertura “Conjuntura Nacional/Internacional - Crise mundial do capital e o movimento dos trabalhadores”. Na mesa que vai tratar do tema “Educação: quadro atual e perspectivas para os trabalhadores e o movimento sindical” estão as pesquisadoras da FIOCRUZ, Aparecida Tiradentes e Lucia Neves. Na abertura, dirigentes da Feteerj e de sindicatos filiados farão uma homenagem a Lélia Gonzáles.
