O Sinpro Minas realiza eleição para a renovação da diretoria e do conselho fiscal da entidade para o triênio 2009/2012. O pleito acontece de 8 a 12 de setembro de 2009, com urnas nas escolas e nas sedes do sindicato. Também haverá envio de cédulas por correspondência para os professores de municípios onde não houver local de votação. Podem votar todos os professores sindicalizados que estejam em dia com o sindicato.

O processo eleitoral foi iniciado em junho com a inscrição de uma única chapa formada por parte da atual diretoria e com significativa renovação, contando com professores dos diversos segmentos de ensino e de todas as regiões do estado. A chapa 1 - “Professores: organizar a luta para valorizar a educação”,  encabeçada pelo atual presidente, Gilson Reis , pretende dar continuidade ao trabalho desenvolvido nesta gestão e ampliar o poder de mobilização sindical que eleve a valorização da categoria e da educação.

O exercício do voto na eleição do Sinpro Minas é um direito dos professores e, mesmo sendo uma eleição com chapa única, é fundamental que todos participem para legitimar sua representação diante dos donos de escolas.

Como há exigência de um quorum aci­ma de 50%, o sindicato conclama todos a votarem. Em caso de dúvida, po­de-se entrar em contato com o sindicato através do e-mail: eleicao2009@sinpro­mi­nas.org.br.
