O SINPRO-SP disponibilizou no site durante um mês enquete para investigar se os professores apresentam muitos sinais que indicam uma maior chance do desenvolvimento de um problema de voz. O resultado foi preocupante: boa parte deles informou já ter pelo menos um dos sintomas como rouquidão, dor na garganta, cansaço para falar, mudança na voz no decorrer do dia de trabalho e pigarro.

Mais de 1.300 professores participaram da enquete e os três sintomas mais relatados foram mudanças na voz no decorrer do dia de trabalho, rouquidão e pigarro, que podem acontecer como resultado de um uso vocal abusivo. Um número expressivo de professores relatou apresentar três sintomas concomitantes, fato que aumenta o risco de uma alteração vocal.

Muitos professores ainda não têm acesso a informações sobre os cuidados com a voz, nem na formação e nem durante a vida profissional. Isso faz com que esses profissionais só procurem orientação fonoaudiológica quanto sentem alguma alteração.

O SINPRO-SP alerta para que o professor faça uma avaliação vocal preventiva no Programa de Saúde Vocal, para aprender estratégias para preservar a saúde da voz e prevenir um futuro problema. Para os professores que já apresentam muitos sintomas ou uma alteração de voz, também recomendamos agendar uma avaliação no Programa, pois além de prevenção, também oferecemos tratamento.
