Renda média do trabalhador de regiões metropolitanas aumentou 14% em quatro anos

A renda média do trabalhador brasileiro aumentou 14,3% entre 2003 e 2007 nas seis principais regiões metropolitanas do país. Essa expansão representa um ganho médio anual de R$ 168,43. Houve alta em todas as regiões pesquisadas pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE) e os destaques foram Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro e Salvador. Nessas capitais, o avanço da renda média do trabalhador ficou em torno de 19%.

De acordo com o levantamento divulgado hoje (28) pelo IBGE, em 2009, o rendimento médio do trabalhador foi de R$ 1.350,33, atingindo o maior patamar da série histórica da Pesquisa Mensal de Emprego (PME). A região metropolitana de São Paulo registrou o rendimento médio mais alto: R$ 1.502,06. Já a região metropolitana de Recife apresentou o mais baixo: R$ 895,90.

Entre os empregados com carteira assinada, a renda média aumentou 7,3% no período, enquanto a dos trabalhadores sem carteira assinada subiu 18,8%.

Entre os grupamentos de atividade, o IBGE verificou que os serviços domésticos apresentaram o maior aumento relativo, de 26,8%. A expansão no setor foi observada em todas as regiões pesquisadas, especialmente no Nordeste (35%).

O levantamento também revelou que o rendimento médio das mulheres continua sendo menor que o dos homens. A renda média delas ficou em R$ 1.097,93 em 2009, o que representava 72,3% dos ganhos dos homens (R$ 1.518,31).

Discrepância ainda maior foi observada entre os rendimentos dos trabalhadores do grupo formado por pretos e pardos e os de cor branca. O grupo de pretos e pardos recebeu em média R$ 882,42 no ano passado, enquanto os trabalhadores de cor branca tiveram rendimentos de R$ 1.716,44.
