Caixa vai pagar correção em contas do FGTS anteriores a 1971
A Caixa Econômica Federal decidiu que vai pagar aos trabalhadores os juros devidos para contas do Fundo de Garantia do Tempo de Serviço (FGTS) anteriores a 1971, conforme circular publicada no Diário Oficial da União (DOU) desta terça-feira (2).
O texto interessa a 60 mil cotistas com ações na Justiça e a milhares de outros que não recorreram aos tribunais. A origem da dívida é de 1967, quando o FGTS foi criado, e a capitalização das contas variava de 3% a 6% ao ano. A correção progressiva foi interrompida em 1971, quando os depósitos do FGTS passaram a ter reajuste de 3% ao ano mais taxa referencial (TR).
Valor dos reembolsos
Para ter acesso ao dinheiro, a Caixa orienta os trabalhadores a preencherem um formulário de habilitação para o crédito, em qualquer agência do banco, apresentando documentos pessoais e de comprovação de vínculo de trabalho (carteira de trabalho e inscrição no PIS-Pasep, por exemplo). A partir do momento da habilitação do trabalhador ao crédito, a Caixa vai liberar o dinheiro em até 60 dias.
Os reembolsos que serão feitos pela Caixa variam de R$ 380 (para os casos de trabalhadores com até 10 anos de vínculo com o FGTS) a R$ 17,8 mil (mais de 40 anos). Têm direito ao benefício pessoas com conta vinculada do FGTS e manteve vínculo empregatício regido pela Consolidação das Leis do Trabalho (CLT) até setembro de 1971.
