Votação da PEC dos Jornalistas é adiada para setembro
O Senado adiou para setembro a votação da Proposta de Emenda à Constituição 33/09, mais conhecida como PEC dos Jornalistas. Os senadores Antonio Carlos Valadares (PSB-SE) e Inácio Arruda (PC do B-CE), autor e relator da proposta, retiraram a matéria da pauta na sessão desta quarta-feira (04/08) por não terem certeza da aprovação.
A PEC continua na pauta do plenário e deverá ser votada no próximo esforço concentrado, previsto para a primeira semana de setembro. Mesmo com o adiamento da votação, o presidente da Federação Nacional dos Jornalistas (Fenaj), Sérgio Murillo de Andrade, acredita que a proposta poderá ser aprovada e sancionada até o final de 2010.
"É difícil, mas estou confiante que a exigência do diploma para profissão, algo que nos foi furtado pelo Supremo Tribunal Federal, volte a valer ainda este ano", disse Andrade.
Ele também diz que a Fenaj está lutando para mobilizar sindicatos e jornalistas sobre a importância da aprovação da PEC. Andrade informou que o site da entidade vai disponibilizar, a partir desta quinta-feira (05/08), uma tabela com a tendência de voto dos 81 senadores, além de divulgar o e-mail de cada um. O objetivo é fazer com que estudantes e jornalistas entrem em contato com os parlamentares para cobrar apoio ao projeto.
