Professor destaca aumento do eleitorado feminino nas eleições de outubro

A mudança no perfil do eleitorado brasileiro devido às alterações demográficas é uma das peculiaridades do pleito deste ano, segundo o professor titular da Escola Nacional de Ciências e Estatísticas do Ministério do Planejamento José Eustáquio Diniz Alves. Pare ele, está havendo uma proporção maior de mulheres e de pessoas com meia idade entre os eleitores.

Em entrevista ao programa Revista Brasil, José Eustáquio disse que a novidade para as eleições de outubro é que o Brasil tem cinco milhões a mais de mulheres no eleitorado. Ele explica que, em 1998, os homens estavam empatados com as mulheres, e a situação começa a mudar em 2000, quando o número de mulheres começa a aumentar.

Além disso, Eustáquio considera um avanço, pela primeira vez na história política brasileira, duas mulheres disputarem a Presidência da República.
Eustáquio considera a classe média no Brasil maioria da população, com uma renda mensal que varia entre R$ 1,2 mil e R$ 4 mil, o que também contribui para mudanças no perfil dos eleitores.

“Isso muda o perfil do eleitorado porque reflete uma certa satisfação da população brasileira com o desempenho da economia, crescimento da renda e do consumo. Isso tem uma influência muito grande nas eleições”, ressalta.
