Maria da Penha lança livro "Sobrevivi... posso contar"

Ícone do movimento pelo fim da violência doméstica, a biofarmacêutica cearense Maria da Penha apresenta sua história de dor e coragem como "uma forma de contribuir com transformações urgentes, pelos direitos das mulheres a uma vida sem violência." A sua busca por justiça ganhou dimensão internacional e o Governo Brasileiro, ao sancionar a lei nº 11.340, que trata da punição para os casos de violência doméstica, deu a ela o nome de Lei Maria da Penha.

O livro será lançado, terça-feira (28/09), às 19h30min, no Espaço Armazém da Cultura (Rua Jorge da Rocha, 154, Aldeota). A publicação contou com o apoio do Centro pela Justiça e o Direito Internacional (CEJIL) e do Comitê Latino-Americano e do Caribe para a Defesa dos Direitos da Mulher (CLADEM), e do jurista Paulo Bonavides, que assina a apresentação.
