Senado vai instalar comissão que acompanhará crise financeira

Na próxima terça-feira (3), o presidente do Senado Federal, José Sarney (PMDB/AP), vai instalar a Comissão de Acompanhamento da Crise Financeira Internacional e da Empregabilidade, criada por ele logo nos primeiros dias depois de eleito. De acordo com a Secretaria Geral da Mesa, a instalação deve ser realizada no Plenário do Senado às 11h. Depois da instalação será definido o cronograma de atividades do colegiado.

O presidente da comissão será o senador Francisco Dornelles (PP/RJ). Além de Dornelles, também vão integrar a comissão os senadores Aloizio Mercadante (PT/SP), Pedro Simon (PMDB/RS), Marco Maciel (DEM/PE) e Tasso Jereissati (PSDB/CE).
A comissão vai monitorar a crise financeira mundial e apresentar sugestões para a manutenção do emprego e dos investimentos no Brasil.

Em entrevista à imprensa logo depois de eleito presidente do Senado no dia 2 de fevereiro, Sarney explicou que a comissão permitirá ao Senado "acompanhar permanentemente a crise econômica mundial, oferecendo não só sugestões, como também tentando influir nas decisões e levando essas sugestões ao Poder Executivo. É uma comissão de caráter permanente para acompanhar diariamente a crise internacional".
