Brasil sediará II Encontro Sindical Nossa América
Iniciativa, que será realizada em São Paulo, entre os dias 22 e 24 de setembro, reunirá mais de 150 delegados internacionais representando 28 países. 206 organizações sindicais do continente manifestaram apoio ao encontro.
Em maio de 2008, foi realizado, na cidade de Quito, Equador, o I Encontro Nossa América. Na ocasião, foi elaborada e divulgada a Carta de Quito, um conjunto de propostas para unir a classe trabalhadora diante da grave crise global capitalista. O documento também ofereceu alternativas que permitam as necessárias e essenciais transformações sociais.
Para aprofundar essa discussão diante da nova realidade de ampliar os principais pontos assinalados na Carta de Quito, será realizado, em São Paulo, entre os dias 22 e 24 de setembro, no Hotel Braston, Rua Martins Fontes, 330, o II Encontro Nossa América.
A iniciativa reunirá delegações de 20 países do continente americano e, até o momento, mais oito países já confirmaram o envio de observadores: Portugal, Índia, Espanha, Japão, Grécia, Países Baixos, Chipre e África do Sul.
A iniciativa abordará três eixos fundamentais:
- A Crise do Capitalismo e a Unidade da Classe Trabalhadora (crise atual, novas características, seus impactos no desenvolvimento das Nações e as Relações de Trabalho)
- Integração e o Movimento Sindical e dos Trabalhadores no Continente (experiências: ALBA, PETROCARIBE e UNASUL)
- Ação e Desafios do Movimento Sindical (resposta dos trabalhadores às ações antidemocráticas no continente, apoio aos movimentos de solidariedade, às mudanças políticas e sociais)
No encerramento, será elaborado um documento final propondo um plano de ação e unidade do conjunto do Movimento Sindical - independente de filiações partidárias - e coordenação única das centrais sindicais para atuar entre um encontro e outro.
