Desemprego entre negros diminui na Grande São Paulo, mas diferenças continuam
De acordo com o estudo "Os negros no mercado de trabalho da região metropolitana de São Paulo" do Dieese (Departamento Intersindical de Estatística e Estudos Socioeconômicos), divulgados nesta quarta-feira (18) , nos últimos quatro anos o número de negros desempregados na região metropolitana de São Paulo, caiu de 22,5% para 16%.
O desemprego no grupo de "não-negros" (que inclui brancos e orientais) também registrou queda de 16,4% para 11,9%. Os dados, recolhidos da Pesquisa de Emprego e Desemprego (PED) do Dieese, comparam informações de 2008 com 2004, período que a economia brasileira registrou uma forte expansão, indicam que apesar da desigualdade entre negros e não-negros ter diminuído, ainda há uma grande diferença entre os dois grupos analisados.
A pesquisa do Dieese atribui, em parte, ao aumento do grau de escolaridade o maior acesso dos negros a postos de trabalho de melhor qualidade. Os números também demonstram que o aumento da escolaridade, embora tenha ocorrido para negros e brancos, foi mais intenso para os negros.
Essa mudança refletiu no crescimento do rendimento médio real dos negros, que subiu 6,1% no período comparado. De acordo com a economista do Patrícia Lino Costa, isso "mostra uma tendência de lenta aproximação na relação entre os dois grupos".
Em 2008, o rendimento médio familiar per capita foi de R$ 514 para os negros, quase a metade do valor correspondente aos brancos, que ficou em R$ 985.
O estudo informou ainda que a taxa de desemprego total dos negros continuou a ser superior à de brancos, apesar da diminuição. Além disso, os negros tendem a ingressar mais cedo e a permanecer por mais tempo no mercado de trabalho.
No ano passado os negros representavam 38,4% da população paulistana, mais do que em 2004, quando somavam 35%.
