EBC vai realizar em 2010 licitação para plataforma de transmissão digital

A Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC) realizará no ano que vem licitação para o projeto do Operador de Rede Digital Pública, uma plataforma de transmissões em sistema digital que será usada por todas as emissoras públicas e estatais federais.

O Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES) financiará o projeto, que será desenvolvido por meio de parceria público-privada (PPP).

Ontem (10), dirigentes da EBC e do BNDES promoveram um workshop para empresários interessados em conhecer detalhes do projeto do operador da rede digital. Uma consulta pública sobre o edital será veiculada na internet.

A lei que criou a EBC diz que a empresa deve assegurar as condições operacionais necessárias à implantação da Rede Nacional de Comunicação Pública, que inclui as TVs do Poder Legislativo (Câmara e Senado), do Executivo (NBR) e do Judiciário (TV Justiça), a TV pública federal (TV Brasil), da própria EBC, e as novas redes estatais previstas no decreto da TV Digital: Canal da Educação, Canal da Cultura e Rede da Cidadania (que serão geridos pelo Ministério das Comunicações).

Essas TVs deverão transmitir sua programação por meio do Operador de Rede Digital Pública.

As televisões estaduais, como as educativas, que hoje formam rede com a TV Brasil em sistema analógico, também poderão fazer parte da plataforma, que, inicialmente, deverá alcançar mais de 60% da população brasileira. A plataforma permitirá ainda que emissoras privadas possam alugá-la.
